Jason Isaacs got to grips with Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner in their new movie Abduction – in more ways than one.
The star, best known for playing Death Eater Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, gets to attack the 18-year-old in his new thriller, which also stars Sigourney Weaver and Maria Bello.
“He is a martial arts wizard in real life – he can do standing double back somersaults, and he used to do exhibitions at the karate world championships – but I had to beat him up, and I couldn’t beat my wife in a fight,” said Jason.
He enjoyed being on set with Taylor, famous as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight films, following his work with Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
“It was interesting to see another young person who is universally known but very different to Daniel, Rupert and Emma. The Twilight phenomenon is different,” he said.
Jason added: “I am now – and have to be – Team Jacob, because Taylor is a lovely boy.”
The 47-year-old previously admitted to being apprehensive about the fight scenes.
“He’s been doing karate since he was six. I’ve done ten kickboxing lessons. We’ll see how that turns out! Hollywood decided he is the latest action hero apparently, and I am there in this film to make him look even more muscular. And I will do that,” he told BBC Radio 2.

Thanks to Celebuzz for this funny/cute video of Taylor Lautner in the Kellogs commercial.
Taking care of his growling tummy, Taylor Lautner was spotted at a restaurant in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (November 10).
Joined by his “Abduction” costar Lily Collins (daughter of Phil Collins), the “New Moon” hunk looked cool and casual in a plaid button-up shirt and grey jeans.

The movie is being directed by John Singleton (Boys n the Hood). The story follows a teenager named Nathan, who has long felt disconnected from his parents, and figures out why. That unleashes a chain of violent events. He eventually finds out a crazy ass secret… his “parents” kidnapped him as a child and raised him as their own. The revelation of this unfolds a conspiracy and Nathan and his girlfriend go on the run.
Regardless of Lautner’s unfortunate casting in the lead role of the film, this sounds like an interesting story. It also has a great supporting cast which includes Sigourney Weaver, Lily Collins (pictured with Lautner), Danny Glover, Alfred Molina, Michael Nyqvist, Maria Bello, and Jason Isaacs.

Here’s the official synopsis:
What would you do if you found your own picture on a missing persons website? Teen Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) finds himself facing this very dilemma. Setting out to uncover his real identity, Nathan quickly learns his parents are far from who they say they are. When the police, government agents and shadowy figures start to pursue him, Nathan’s quest for the truth erupts into a full-blown “Bourne”-like man-on-the-run thriller.
